I had previous conversations with Fadda Kat – MC and DJ for Hamilton’s Kat Attack Sound and was well aware that I was dealing with a very confident and self-assured selector, despite having only heard this Sound once before. Kat, with his short but sweet performance on Sound System Fridays left no doubts, his Sound is primed and ready to stand up to any Sound that thinks that they can come and test!
Once Kat took control of his music machine, things instantly peaked and the entertainment level remained consistent throughout the length of the broadcast. Kat knows his box well and is totally in sync with the chunes he selects, he does so with an impressive speed and does not sit on dubs. The majority of the dubs played have been customized for Sound clash and despite having a ‘clash’ upcoming in mid June, this young Hamilton Sound didn’t hold back, thrilling the live chat room crowd with quality chunes and speech that they have come to expect. Thanks for the Blessed dubs! Blessed now resides in Hamilton. Kat Attack tun up!
Congratulations to Kat (a former King Attarney selector)! Big Up Traffik as well, a Hamilton artiste whose performance should let Toronto artists know that there are seasoned and ‘ready’ artists all over the place, so why be so Toronto centric?! This guy had great lyrics and performed well, as he does for the majority of Dancehall/Reggae shows in the Hamilton area where, quite often, he is selected as an opening act. Big Up the other guests in the house, Garfield (King Attarney), Sensi, Gems and Tim!
So Kat, congrats again – your only failure was your late notice of your late arrival (you’ll make up for it when we discuss linking Sound System Fridays with the ‘other’ website further – *wink, wink). Enjoy the Podcast!
