Two trophies in a row, two consecutive titles.  Massive, just one week after the Fully Loaded Metamorphosis victory, Klymaxx Sound has done it again by being declared victors in last night’s King of the Ring Soundclash at Milan Banquet Hall featuring Super Gold, Klymaxx and Cummtraxx. The event featured two 20 minute Rounds where all sounds came hardddd with big dubs playing on a nice-sounding Twin Star sound system.

All Sounds had a wicked 1st Round, and the clash got off to a great start, hosted by Tasha Rozez and yours truly (I was also streaming the event live to ReggaeMania.com).  At the end of the Round, Klymaxx was declared the winner.  At the end of Round 2, Super Gold was declared winner in a tight vote that had to be done twice (between Cummtraxx and Super Gold).

When it came to voting time at the end of Round 3 (15-min Round), Super Gold was voted out, leaving Cummtraxx and Klymaxx to go at it in a 10 minute per sound showdown.  At the end of the Round, Cummtraxx was declared winner of the Round. That’s when things got sticky. The promoter (Megga) had announced just minutes before the start of the Round, that anybody who plays back tune would be gone – immediately eliminated from the clash. He said this because there were already issues and accusations of Sounds playing back tunes.  So an argument began, who was the winner of the clash? Every Sound had won one Round, but because Super Gold was gone, the winner would have to be either Cummtraxx or Klymaxx.

The promoters wanted and called for tune-fi-tune, but Klymaxx refused to play, calling the promoter out for not sticking by his announcement or “rule” about sounds being eliminated for playing back tunes – which Cummtraxx, in his and many other people’s opinion, was guilty of playing back “the most tunes for the night”.   People left the clash not knowing who won, and the trophy had already left the building with a Klymaxx Soundman (LOL).

I asked the promoter who won the clash (there was no mic or music playing by now, the audio was turned off), and he announced that Klymaxx was his King of the Ring Champion, but that in fairness, they would have to split their first prize money with runner up Cummtraxx.

Enjoy the clash, I may be wrong, but there is no Audio for this clash, as I never saw anyone recording it…as I said, I hope I’m wrong, the videos posted do not capture the entire clash, but it does offer a lot of footage and some interesting after-event commentary.

There were about 80 peole at this clash, and every single person had a great time, this event was lots of fun on a freezing cold night. Enjoy the Podcast.

King of the Ring – Last Video from Clash – 2hrs 25 min Video

The Videos seen above are archives from the King of the Ring Soundclash at Milan Banquet Hall (Friday December 13th 2013). Since I had to host this clash, there was no Sound System Friday broadcast, and I asked Megga the promoter if I could stream his clash, which he said yes to. There was no working WI-fi in the building, so we had a few drop outs due to my having to use my Blackberry (mobile hot spot) as my exclusive WI-fi source for streaming King of the Ring. Overall though, not bad and I anticipate doing this more in the future, as long as promoters are cool with it, cause we don’t need people staying at home instead of coming out to see these clashes.
