ReggaeManiacs rejoice! – Busy Signal, one of Reggae’s elite artists is now FREE after serving six months in a United States Prison after pleading guilty on a charge of absconding bail in July.  The deejay was arrested in May in Kingston, Jamaica after stepping off a plane from London.  He was then transferred to the United States after deciding not to contest his extradition.

News broke (courtesy of Busy Signal’s Twitter Account) during the evening of Friday November 16th – that Busy Signal, aka Glendale Goshia Gordon, was now on Jamaican soil after completion of time served.  After touching down at Norman Manley International Airport late Friday, he was met by his manager and a small entourage of family and friends.

The news was confirmed by a couple of unexpected Tweets coming from Busy Signal’s Twitter account — “Guess Who is Back? God Is GOOD!” and “Turf and Brothers Reunited. Only God.”  Despite not saying much, the posts had pictures attached which told the rest of the story and the rest is history.

At this time, Busy Signal and his management have yet to make an ‘official’ public statement about his improved state of affairs, but, our contacts were happy to report that Busy, within hours of touching down in Yard, was apparently back in the studio voicing dubs for a few select sounds that were anxious to be the first to cut and play Busy since his release from prison.  Welcome back Busy, we missed you and we’re glad that you had friends in high places!
