Topping our Top 20 Canadian Chart for the second consecutive month is the lovely and talented Michie ‘Bahd Gyal’ Mee.  What a comeback story for Canada’s Rap and Reggae Queen!  Her track ‘Bahd Gyal Bubble’ is tight all around (vocal + production wise) which makes for a very powerful chune – her raw lyrics combined with her element of style (Rapping and Toasting) takes the song to another level.  The track is so danceable and it stands up to any Jamaican riddim trying to test it!  Canada anxiously awaits another song from Michie and her producer at Smoke Shop Productions.

While Michie rules our chart, Terminal DG’s “Glasses Dark” has slipped down to the number three spot after holding down the number two spot in January and the number one spot in December.  The number two spot goes to Juno nominee Exco Levi with “Dutchie Wah Food” and having dropped from the number three spot to number five is “Am Twinkling” (Father Price / Eyesus / Fire Lion) – still one of my favourite songs!

Moving up from number eight to our number four spot is Kaisha Lee’s “Clean Heart Order”, sharing the same dope riddim that backed Michie Mee’s – ‘Bahd Gyal Bubble’ courtesy of Smoke Shop Productions.  I like Kaisha’s raw vocals on this particular song, she steps outside ‘the box’ and goes for it.

Another Juno nominee graces our chart – Ammoye.  She has dropped two positions as “Radio” now slips from number five to number seven.  Congrats to Ammoye on her nomination!  Big Up Steele as he has two songs on our chart! – his song, “She Believes In Me” rose to number six from number eleven and his “Hanging On” track has slipped from number six to number eleven.  Moving up from number fourteen to the number eight spot is Chuckle Berry’s “Wine Gal” and maintaining its number nine position is Ammoye with “Baby It’s You” – a beautiful track.  Dropping from the number seven spot to number ten is “Reggaemylytis” by Nkrumah.

Hanging on and in spot thirteen is Fire Lion with “Bazzle And I Know It”, Shalli with “I Fly” in at number fourteen, Terminal DG with “Pure Chat” at sixteen and Tasha T with “In A Di Jungle” taking the number eighteen spot.

New on the chart this month is Terminal DG’s “Street Level” (that makes three!), Def Shade’s “Sick Head”, Maja Current’s “Mama” and Sean Bush’s “Nah Mek Dem Stress Me” as well as Tony Anthony’s “Ecstasy”.  Exiting from our chart are G Maffiah’s “Mi Wah Yuh Love”, Sample King’s “Jam Dung Gangnam Style”, Belinda Brady’s “Found The One”, Eyesus’s “Good Friend” and Faze’s “Inna Church”.
