Another beautiful night in the T-dot.  Nothing shaking in terms of Reggae and Dancehall right now.  This weekend, Jamaica’s Metromedia Sound System featuring Oliver will play three nights in the city and two nights at Daddy’s Nightclub (Big Up Tari! – the owner).  Stone Love was in town for the Platinum Party last night, but, the big news there was…Tommy Lee, one of Jamaica’s rising talents was no where to be seen.  Seems he didn’t get his work permit on time so he’s been re-scheduled for an October date (so says the promoter).  Tommy Lee is hot!!!  I feel this artist’s vibe and I am relieved that I can feel a real vibe for any dancehall artist at this time.  You’ll see on the playlist below that I played at least three or four of his tracks during the show – something we haven’t seen since Vybz Kartel!
