Today was a weird day overall – so perhaps I should have expected the night to bring much of the same.  After a miserable day of waking up sick then rushing to the office to start up my Honda for a sale with a weak battery.  A potential buyer eventually did come to see the car but in classic case of things going wrong at the wrong time – I couldn’t close back the car hood tightly after opening it to show the customer the engine.  I needed my WD-40 and a good screwdriver that’s all – but it wouldn’t be until after the potential buyers had left that my Tow Truck driver friend came out and helped me get the darn thing closed.

The show was a good show but not without it’s share of technical problems. First – my trusty old PC crashed (blue screen) in the middle of a really good mix. Fortunately I had a back up CD on hand to quickly get me out of that! But later – CHIN FM had a technical problem that cost me a couple minutes of airtime, and in a weird case, my board operator also “forgot” to raise the feed back up on the board after she had played a set of commercial ads! That cost me another 4 minutes of airtime – and I’m sure the dead air will not go over will with the bigger heads at CHIN or our listeners.

I was unaware of some of this until the Enforcas Sound Crew also had problems starting their show – that’s the only reason I found out about the dead air issue – that, and the recording waiting for me at home.  The next day was better though – I listened back to the show archive and other than those few technincal glitches, I thought it sounded great!
