I am saying thank you and I’m very humbled to be the recipient of the ‘East End Sound Clash Promoter of the Decade’ Award, presented to me at ‘From Then Till Now’ on ‘behalf of the people’, especially the Scarborough people! I was one of several recipients who received awards, big up Tasha Rozez (East End Female Selector of the Decade), King Turbo (Easet End Sound Clash Sound of the Decade), Barry Culture (RIP-East End Legendary Sound of the Decade), and Fadda Yaadie & Turbosonic Sound (East End Soundman Promoter of the Decade), who also received ‘Decade’ awards.

I have to thank Pablo, his Soul Survival Sound, Full Hundred & Vibrant Vibes Promo (presenters of the event), and the people of Scarborough for their love and support. I am flattered by the award and appreciative of the recognition, and I accept it on behalf of all dancehall promoters who do what they do not because of they do it just to ‘make’ money, but because it’s a calling, promoting reggae and dancehall and the sound system clash culture is in their blood. I’m back people…you soon hear from me with more new promotional concepts.  In the mean time I have to say once more, thanks for this, I’m grateful and humbled.

Sorry about the low quality pics – I was working as the event MC, not the event photographer, but I couldn’t resist – I took the pics above with my i-Phone 10 XR anyway – should’ve brought my Cannon, or purchased the iPhone 11 instead.  The ’11’ has 3 lenses and is better suited for low light situations seen in our dancehall nightclubs and banquet halls. The 10 XR comes with no filter controls to adjust low light situations, so blahhh – you see the results, and many pics not published had to be thrashed due to low quality.

Here’s the good news. 410-link was the official photographer for “From Then Till Now”, so here’s the link to see some beautiful pics from the event. Good job 410!
