Captain Barkey Funeral in Kingston, Jamaica

The late reggae/dancehall star Captain Barkey will be laid to rest this Thursday, November 8, in Kingston, Jamaica. The funeral service for the “Go Go Wine” deejay will be held at the Hagley Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kingston starting at 11 a.m. His body will be buried at the Jamaica Defence Force JDF headquarters at Up Park Camp in St. Andrew. Captain Barkey served in the JDF for several years before becoming a dancehall artist in the 1990s. Source: urbanislandz.com

Vybz Kartel will have to wait another month to begin his defense in one of his murder charge. The former Portmore Empire head appeared in the Home Circuit Court earlier today but his trial did not get underway.
